Now that's a hot dog

We were able to go to Utah this weekend for our nephew Damon's mission farewell. While there we had the chance to do lots of fun things. We ate at restaurants we miss. We hung out with good friends. We had family pictures (really not that fun). We got to play with our family. We celebrated birthdays. We had lots of great times with all the cousins and this will be the last time for at least 2 years the whole family will be together.

So these are a few pics of the family during our weekend.

Abby told us she wanted a burger but Dave ordered her a hot dog. So this is what she ended up with....

Now that's a hot dog.

Noah took a picture of Dave and I. Good job on the photo kid.

A bunch of the cousins. At the park after family pictures. I'll post those a little later.

Joy and Ava. Mother and daughter.

Jordon and Lucy. Everyone of all ages got in on the fun.

As much as we all complain about our families, our lives wouldn't right if we didn't have the fun times, the sad times, the happy times, and the scary times. We love our family even with all the drama that's apart of it.

So here is to Damon for getting us all together and I wish him the best on his mission to teach and help the people of Mexico. He just went into the MTC today. And as I sit here smiling at the thought of the day I went into the MTC, I know he is just as embarrassed at having to wear the dork dot as the rest of us were. For those who aren't LDS when you first go into the MTC they give the new missionaries a flourescent dot to wear on their name tags so they know you are new and can help you out. It is helpful but like starting any new journey you really don't want everyone to know you really don't know what you are doing. We love you Damon and wish you good luck.
